My 90+ year-old grandmother fell and broke her hip on Tuesday while the fridge was being repaired. Being my grandmother, of course, she refused to leave–in spite of the repairman’s help in getting her up and calling the hospital–until the fridge was fixed. But it appears no additional harm came from that and she underwent hip replacement Wednesday afternoon and was able to chat with me on the phone 30 minutes afterward. She’s an amazing and tough lady and we all hope the rest of her recovery goes as swiftly and smoothly as the surgery did. I love my grandmother, but she really shouldn’t go ice-skating on the laundry room floor like that! 😉

New pages
It’s taken a while, but I’ve updated the Books page with Downpour and the latest anthology to include a story by me. The menu on the side is acting a little odd, but I do finally have listings for both books and an excerpt and cover for Downpour up.
Downpour Revision
DOWNPOUR Â is now on its way back to my editor after revision. I hope I didn’t miss anything, but I’d reached the point where I couldn’t tell, so… off it went. Next step: Copyediting. Still on schedule for release in the US August 2, 2011.
