It's been quite a while since I updated this page--or anything on the site. I got deeply involved in both a full-time job and the revisions on my upcoming novel as well as the usual insanity. And I took a couple of trips, had eye surgery, lost a relative, took another trip, learned to ride a motorcycle, did boat repairs, caught the flu.... Y'know: life in general with creative writing on the side.
You'll probably notice that the site has changed a bit from the old chalkboard model with the sadly ferret-tormented head of the stuffed toy in the mascot position. Alas for poor Rocket-the-stuffy, times change and it's out with the old and in with the--I hope--more professional and sleek (except for this page which will continue to be spontaneously weird, so long as it survives.) Rocket is not, in fact, gone, nor--the secret can now be revealed--was he ever truly ferret-tormented. Here's the original picture of Rocket (he hasn't changed much since then) being held by my husband:
After a bit of poking and prodding in GIMP and the addition of a quote from another Kat Litter, this was the result, which reigned on the portal page for three years:
Pretty pathetic. So much for Rocket-the-stuffy. I'll miss his decrepit little face, but, had to do something.... Check in again, soon, to find out what happens next in Kat's weird head.
